Torrox, located in the east of the Costa del Sol is an up and coming tourist destination for those holidaying on the Costa del Sol. Situated only 40 kilometres from Malaga, it is a relatively small town with access to a large city.

The town has two maritime promenades, located by the water’s edge, which is lined with artisan shops, restaurants and many more interesting places to visit.

The two main beaches in the town are Ferrara and El Moche which offer a peaceful and serene atmosphere that can be enjoyed by all. The town comes alive in the summer celebrating a festival in honour of their patron saint, San Antonio, on the 13th of June and the famous night of San Juan, which is celebrated on the 24th of June.

The town is also home to many Moorish and Roman ruins which are dotted all around Torrox but the most famous and well preserved ruins are the Roman ruins at el Farro and the ancient Arab fortress which has been restored and is currently being used as a tourism information office.
